Beadboard Project!

Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend! Yay!
Today I'm sharing with you a project that my hubby and I tackled last weekend! I'm always looking around my home and dreaming up new projects to start. Hehe! Being an Interior Designer my wheels are always turning! We have a couple niches in our kitchen and upstairs linen closet. I decided to add beadboard to the back of those niches for an added color and texture pop! We started by going to our local Lowes Home Improvement and picked out a piece of beadboard. We had it cut down to fit the wall space in each niche.

I then painted the beadboard. I used the paint color Aqueduct by Sherwin Williams for the upstairs niche.

I absolutely loved the way it turned out!
It was that added pop of color and texture that space needed.

It matches my Mermaids book perfectly!

I then did the same process downstairs in our kitchen.
I used the paint color Gentle Wave by Valspar for the beadboard color.

After painting the beadboard, I wanted to change up the shelving a little and added white plates, milk glass and milk bottles. I love how the white looked against the aqua.

I then decided to organize my Ikea Kitchen Cart!
I love how it's a perfect spot to display some of my favorite kitchen goodies!

Just what that spot needed!

The cake stands are from Homegoods! I love how perfect they go with the beadboard!

I added this quote I saw on Instagram not too long ago and love it!

Hope you all enjoyed my lil project! Have a wonderful weekend!

Pineapple Love!

Happy Hump Day!

I recently received these awesome Pineapple Ice Cube Trays from Sheri at Local Fare. A beautiful shop specializing in home entertaining as well as Coastal decor! Check out the online shop here. Or if you are in the Orange County area stop by and say hi to Sheri!

The ice cube trays come in a set of aqua and yellow! Perfect for a Luau or Tiki themed party!

How cute are these ice cubes!?

After receiving these trays I couldn't wait to make my favorite Tiki Drink!

Blue Hawaiians!
I've seen it made many ways but this is my favorite recipe of it!

3 oz. Pineapple Juice (Dole)
2 oz. Malibu Coconut Rum
1/2 oz. Blue Curacao Liqueur
1/2 oz. Cream of Coconut (Coco Real)

Add your Pineapple ice cubes, shake and you're set!

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Thought I'd share a photo of my succulents in my backyard.
I edited the photo with my Waterlogue app. Love succulents! They are so lush and green!

Today got even better when my neighbors made my day extra special and brought me over some
Irish Soda Bread! Boy is it yummy!

I have to say I'm more than Lucky, I'm Blessed!

Have a great day!

Quote Love!

Love this quote! It's so true! When I set out to design my home I wanted a space that would make me feel at peace and happy! Well nothing makes me more happy then the beach and the color aqua so I knew that would be my inspiration when decorating! Edited with my Rhonna Designs app!

Happy Tuesday!

Kitchen Cabinet Makeover!

After we bought our home there were a few improvements I wanted to do starting with the kitchen.  The cabinets were a blonde wood so I wanted to make them white. Luckily I know a great painter! My Dad is a painting contractor and helped me bring my white kitchen dream come true!

We started by taking off all the cabinet doors. Then sanded each of them to make a smooth surface. My Dad then used an airless sprayer to apply the Kilz Primer. After the primer had dried we then sanded down the doors again and prepared for the final coat of paint. I chose the color Pure White by Sherwin Williams.  He then sprayed the doors and the outside area of the cabinets that were wood.

We then re-attached the cabinet doors to the cabinets and painted the kitchen in the Sherwin Williams Color Accessible Beige.  It's a nice light and bright color, that's easy on the eyes and goes with my Coastal decor.

The finished Product!

As you know I'm obsessed with the color aqua and added touches of it in my kitchen!
Hope you enjoyed my kitchen transformation!
